Soeben laß ich auf Counter-Strike.de folgende News eines Newletters von VALVe mit interessanten Neuigkeiten zum Thema Team Fortress 2 und eine evtl. Abschaffung von CS 1.6

This final step has to be taken, to conserve bandwidth for a smooth Team Fortress 2 rollout. We know this final step has to be taken with close contact to the gaming-community. For that reason we ask the major community sites to collect survey data in the local gaming-communities about which game will go.

Zusammenfassend lässt sich also sagen, dass die jüngsten Gerüchte, TF2 würde noch im dritten Quartal 2005

auf Basis der HL2-Engine über Steam released werden, sich also bestätigen dürften. Die Kehrseite der Medallie könnte jedoch gerade für eingefleischte Fans eines Half-Life(1) - Mods ein herber Rückschlag sein.
